How do I get to Le Petit Hopital?
From London, UK: Many of our guests coming from London take the Eurostar to Paris followed by the high-speed train from Paris to Avignon (Avignon is a 25 minute drive from Le Petit Hopital). Alternatively, they might choose to fly from London to Marseille, which is the nearest airport (about an hour drive away). Car rentals can be arranged from Avignon or Marseille directly to the house.
From Canada: Guests travelling from Canada might choose to fly from Toronto/Montreal to Paris, followed by taking a second flight to Marseille (about an hour drive away) or the high-speed train to Avignon (a 25 minute drive away). Some airlines offer service directly to Marseille. Car rentals can be arranged from Avignon or Marseille directly to the house.
From New York: Similar to travelling from Canada, guests might choose to fly to Paris or to Marseille (depending on the airline), followed by that flight or train to Marseille or Avignon. Car rentals can be arranged from Avignon or Marseille directly to the house.
Can I host a wedding or event at Le Petit Hopital?
Absolutely! We have had several beautiful weddings and events take place at Le Petit Hopital. We do have wedding specific policies, however. Please contact us for more details.
Are Pets allowed?
No, although we love your pets but they are not permitted at Le Petit Hopital.
Is the home close to any towns?
Yes! Although the home is nestled in between apple orchards and vineyards, the town of L'Isle Sur La Sorgue (known for its antiques, markets and canals) is only 2km away - a quick drive, a 25 minute walk, or 10 minute bike ride! Aside from L'Isle Sur La Sorgue, there are plenty of cute and picturesque towns a quick drive away, including Gordes, Bonnieux, Marseille, Cassis, etc.
Is there a vehicle available for use? Should we rent one?
No vehicle is available for the use of guests, so we recommend renting one from your port of entry, Marseille, Avignon, or elsewhere. We highly recommend vehicle rentals to ensure you are able to see all that the region has to offer. There are stunning hilltop villages and towns that you will not want to miss!
What size of beds do the bedrooms have?
The house has only King Size and Queen Size beds, therefore, each bedroom welcomes double occupancy. There are 4 king size beds, and 5 queen size beds distributed throughout the house. We can provide you with more detail if required.
Does each bedroom have a bathroom?
Yes! All bedrooms have direct access to their own bathrooms. Many have showers and bathtubs, and a few have a combined shower/tub.
Is there a crib available for us?
Yes! A crib is available for your use. Please indicate this on your booking so that it can be setup for your arrival.
Ar there bikes available for use?
Yes! Bikes of all sizes are available for your use (even for your kids)!
Is there a pool?
Yes! There is a beautiful pool available for your use. The pool does have a security system, but is not gated.
Can we hire or bring a chef?
Absolutely. More of these details should be available to you as you complete your booking. We have recommendations of chefs in the area should you need those as well. The payment and facilitation of the chef is completely the responsibility of the guest, however.
How often does cleaning take place?
You will receive a cleaning on the Wednesday of each week of your stay. Should we want additional cleaning services, this option will be available to you as you complete the booking.
Are there laundry facilities available?
Yes! There are washing and drying machines located in the home and available for your use.
When is check-in and check-out?
Please plan to arrive Le Petit Hopital no earlier than 4pm, and depart no later than 10am. The cleaning team has a very tight turnover time between groups and appreciate any time they can get to clean the house. Arrangements to meet the property house will be arranged for your arrival. Please note, we require a one-week minimum for all bookings during high season. Additionally, check-in and check-out dates must be on Fridays due to the high volume of bookings we receive during high season.
